Protecting privacy and personal data is A Montesinho’s fundamental commitment to the data subject using our digital platforms. With the application of the new General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD) as of 25 May 2018, our Privacy Policy is in compliance with all data protection principles and standards that underpin the RGPD.

General Data Protection Regulation
The new RGPD lays down rules on the processing by a person, a company or an organization of personal data relating to persons in the European Union (EU).
RGPD protects personal data regardless of the technology used for the processing of such data, the protection is technology neutral and applies to both automated and manual processing provided that data is organized according to predefined criteria (eg in alphabetical order). Also irrelevant is the way data is stored in a computer system via video surveillance or on paper; In all these cases, personal data are subject to the protection requirements of the RGPD.

Who is the data controller?
AMontesinho Lda is responsible for the processing of personal data within the scope of the RGPD.
Data Protection Officer
AMontesinho Lda has a Data Protection Officer (EPD), who (i) provides information and advises the controller or processor about their privacy and data protection obligations; (ii) controls the compliance of data processing with applicable standards; (iii) advise, upon request, on the data protection impact assessment and monitor its implementation; (iv) is a contact point for the personal data subject to clarify questions concerning the processing of their data; and (v) is the point of contact for the supervisory authority (National Data Protection Commission – CNPD) on processing issues, cooperating with this entity.
