The Deer Brama

September through November is the ideal time to observe deer behavior, since the species is in mating season.
The deer roar, is one of the most exciting events in the natural world to happen in the fall season.
The males choose places that are uncamped and in excessive behavior as a way of getting noticed, such as making sounds and fighting other males. The winner in the deer fight, is the one who pushes the most through their antlers into each other. During this roaring season, the males lose up to 40% of their weight.
The best time to observe the roaring of the deer is in the early twilight and early morning, since during the day the roaring does not exist.
The Natural Park of Montesinho is a perfect place for nature lovers to follow this mating season of the deer.
