Cantarinhas Fair 2020

Of medieval origin, the Feira das Cantarinhas takes place in the first days of May and its main characteristic is the sale of clay cantinhas.

In 2020 the fair will take place from 1 to 3 May.

The clay canteen, which once served in the field to accompany workers with fresh water, is now also used to adorn the houses in Trás-os-Montes. The elders say that these bring luck to those who receive them.

Also at this fair the first cherries appear, sold in small branches and the renewal (vegetables of various qualities ready to be planted). From 10 am to 11 pm on the main streets in the city center.
