The Casa da Escola was a detached house located in front of the primary school of the village of Gimonde.
Its former owners were dedicated to agriculture and at this time the house was quite humble. It was also this family that provided the embers for the warm up of the small pupils of the primary school that traditionally was done through the braziers.
Duly recovered, the house retains its name, being one of the most welcoming tourism units of the region.
